There will be re-enactments of the War of 1812 on the river. On Friday night the ships will form a circle and fire off their cannons at each other to simulate a naval battle. On Saturday and Sunday there will be a puppet show based on stories from the War of 1812 performed by the Da PoPo Theatre Group on the deck of the tall ship Sorca. On Saturday night, the Shelburne Longboat Society will present the Burning Ship. Sunday at 1 pm they will do a daytime reenactment featuring two longboats, each with a crew of 10, out on the river and firing their cannons and muskets at each other.
