Installation de sonde

J"ai acheté un nouveau GPS équipé d'un sonar 3D.
Je me demande si on peut installer la sonde au fond de la coque soit collée
ou bien dans un contenant d'eau ou huile.
Est-ce-que quelqu'un a déjà essayé ça?

On va se tenir au courant car moi aussi j'ai une sonde à installer que je veux mettre idéalement dans un puit. J'aime pas la méthode collé.
Sur mon ancien voilier elle était dans un puit avec de l'eau que je vidais à chaque mise en hivernement. Ça fonctionnait parfaitement.

Dans tes instructions,  y a-t-il un endroit spécifique où il conseille de la plaçer. J'ai toujours dit devant la quille, mais est-ce que dans les faits ça changerait quelque chose derrière la quille. Certain la place sur le tableau arrière.  À 6 nds ou plus, devant ou derrière si le fond remonte rapidement tu te plantes pareil.......

Je n'aime pas non plus la sonde collée. Dans mes autres bateaux celles que j'ai installées était comme tu le fais dans un puit. C'est la façon avec laquelle j'aimerais installer ma nouvelle sonde, mais avec les 3D ça va tu marcher? Disons que c'est facile à essayer ....
Cependant pas question d'installer ça sur le tableau, j'aime autant m'en passer. De toute façon j'ai un autre sondeur qui fonctionne très bien.
Pour ce qui est de l'emplacement, très bonne question ?? Si la sonde ''shoot'' vers l'avant ??? la quille va donner des interférences.
Mais avec un puit on peut facilement essayer des endroits différents pour choisir le meilleur si ça marche ??

Au niveau des instruction d'installation  (Garmin 55Dv)  C'est tout simplement sur le tableau arrière. Nulle part il est question d'installation intérieure.
Comme s'il n'y avait que les pêcheurs qui achètent des lecteurs de carte....
A mon retour je vais prendre des informations chez B & L. Ils en savent sûrement plus que moi.

Moi j'ai toujours collé mes sondes avec de la gomette à poster.Deux fois avec des fishfinder Piranah et dernierement avec un gps-sondeur Hummingbird.Le truc,laisser la gomette neuve au soleil pendant 15-20 et coller la sonde éloigné d,au moins 4 pouces d'une structure,varangue,quille...ca coute pas cher d'essayer et ça marche.Tu mets la gommette sur la coque et tu plante la sonde denans en "zigonnant un peu"Ne la malaxez pas et évitez les bulles d'air

Pour la position, je placerais devant si possible.
Si tu dois la placer derriere, manque de possibilité devant, je la placerais le plus en arriere possible.
Assure toi que l'eau circulant autour de la quille ne fera pas d'interferance sur la lectue.  Genre de cavitation.

L'été passé j'ai collé ma sonde avec du Scellant amovible « ZIP Seal N' Peel »....ca fonctionne super bien...et pas permanent...

Ok on laisse fondre tout ça et on va faire les essais.

Recommended ways to mount your transducer

There are a few different ways to mount a transducer. Below are some examples, descriptions, and tips for each mounting style:
Transom Mounting:
Choose a location where the water flow is the smoothest and minimum turbulence and bubbles will exist, especially at high speed. The transducer needs to be continuously immersed in water and the sounder beam unobstructed by the keel or propeller shaft. Make sure that there is adequate headroom and there is a minimum dead rise angle.
Never mount the transducer near water intake, discharge openings or behind strakes, struts, fittings, or hull irregularities. Also, water near the keel can be quite turbulent which will negatively affect performance. For more information about preferred mounting locations, contact the boat hull's manufacturer.
A disadvantage of a transom mount is that air bubbles will affect the sonar performance.
In-Hull Mounting:
An enclosure filled with propylene glycol is the best mounting option for many boats. It works well on single skin G.R.P. (completely fiberglass) hulls, but is not suitable for sandwich construction, steel, aluminum, Ferro Cement, or wooden hulls. The ultrasonic signal produced by the transducer passes easily through liquids and solids but is greatly attenuated in air. Therefore, it follows that air inclusions in the fiberglass or a stream of air bubbles on the outside of the hull will both affect performance. The signal will pass through up to 0.75" thickness so avoid sitting the transducer over spray rails or reinforcements.
The signal from the transducer is in the shape of a cone (approx. 22 degrees). If it is mounted too close to the keel it can pick up an echo from the keel, so ensure adequate clearance. The optimum installation site can be found by temporarily mounting the transducer in a mound of grease or placing it in a polythene bag of water (wet on the outside too) and holding the bag against the hull.
The most vital point to remember with the propylene glycol method is that the fluid will need to be topped off regularly. The most common cause of depth reading problems is no fluid around the transducer.
Thru-Hull Mounting
Mount the transducer well aft, on or near the centerline, and well inboard of the first set of lifting strakes to ensure that it will be in contact with the water at high speeds. Mounting the transducer on the starboard side of the hull where the propeller blades are moving downward is preferred.
Outboard and I/O—Mount just forward and to the side of the engine(s).
Inboard—Mount well ahead of the propeller(s) and shaft(s).
Stepped hull—Mount just ahead of the first step.
Boats capable of speeds above 25 kts (29 MPH)— Review the transducer location and operating results of similar boats before proceeding.
